Mount Streich is a 2250 m high mountain in East Antarctic Victoria Land . It looms above the Skelton Icefalls halfway between Angino Buttress and Portal Mountain .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 2000. It is named after Lieutenant Paul R. Streich, one of the first pilots of the United States Navy's VX-6 squadron in Operation Deep Freeze I (1955-1956) and II (1956-1957) ), who had flown a DHC-3 Otter from Little America V to build Byrd Station .
