Mount Suess is a 1190 m high mountain in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It towers over the southern section of Gondola Ridge near the south side of the Mackay Glacier .
Participants in the Nimrod expedition (1907-1909), led by the British polar explorer Ernest Shackleton, discovered him. It is named after the Austrian geologist Eduard Suess (1831–1914).
