Mount Tegge is a 1570 m high and isolated mountain in the west Antarctic Ellsworthland . It rises up at the mouth of the Embree Glacier on the east side of the Sentinel Range of the Ellsworth Mountains .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own surveys and using aerial photographs of the United States Navy between 1957 and 1959. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1961 after Lieutenant Richard C. Tegge of the United States Air Force , who was involved in the establishment of the South Pole Station from 1956 to 1957.
