Mount Valhalla is a mountain in East Antarctica, Victoria Land . In the Asgard Range of the Transantarctic Mountains, it towers over the south side of the Wright Valley on the western flank of the Valhalla Glacier .
The designation took place in 1976 on the joint resolution of the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names and the New Zealand Antarctic Place-Names Committee based on the designation of the Asgard Range. It is named after the Valhalla , resting place of the fighters from Norse mythology who fell in battle .
