Mount Weaver is a 2780 m high mountain in Marie Byrd Land in West Antarctica . It rises around 3 km west of Mount Wilbur in the area where the Scott Glacier was formed.
It was discovered and first climbed in December 1934 by the geological team around Quin Blackburn (1900–1981) of the second Antarctic expedition (1933–1935) of the US polar explorer Richard Evelyn Byrd . This named him after Charles Edwin Weaver (1880-1958), paleontologist at the University of Washington .
