Located in the municipality of Zagora-Mouresi and in the Magnisia regional unit

Mouresi ( Greek Μουρέσι ( n. Sg. )) Is one of the two municipal districts of the municipality of Zagora-Mouresi, created in 2011 on the eastern slope of the Pelion Mountains. Until 2010 it was an independent municipality in the Greek prefecture of Magnisia . The seat of the municipal administration was not the village of the same name Mouresi , but the place Tsangarada .

The place was recognized as a rural community ( kinotita ) in 1912 and in 1997 after the incorporation of some neighboring communities it was raised to the status of an urban community ( dimos ) . This municipality merged in 2010 with the neighboring Zagora to Zagora-Mouresi , in which Mouresi has been a municipality since then.
