The Schenkenbergertal is located in the Swiss canton of Aargau and belongs to the Brugg district . The communities of Veltheim AG and Schinznach are located in the Schenkenbergertal or at its exit to the Aare valley . At the back of the valley is Thalheim . It is eight kilometers long and extends from the Aare valley to Staffelegg . The valley is bordered by two mountain ranges of the Kettenjura .

In 1996 the proceeds from the sale of chocolate by the Schweizer Heimatschutz (SHS) were intended for the Schenkenbergertal. The Talbach runs through the valley .
