Mourisca do Vouga is a village in the municipality of Trofa, Segadães e Lamas do Vouga , in the Portuguese district of Águeda . Mourisca do Vouga is located on the Caminho Português , a Portuguese Way of St. James .
History and sights
In the center of the village you can see the chapel Capela da Mourisca . It was built in 1674 . In 1927 Mourisca do Vouga was elevated to a small town ( Vila ).
Culture and sport
The Tuna Mourisquense "1º de Janeiro" is an amateur music orchestra and was founded on January 1, 1916 in the village.
The football club União Desportiva Mourisquense , founded in 1949 , competes in the divisions of the Aveiro district association (as of 2013). The UD Mourisquense plays its home games in the 5000-seat Manuel Castro Azevedo stadium .
