Movimiento Por la Soberanía (Bolivia)

Movimiento Por la Soberanía (MPS) ( Spanish for: "Movement for Sovereignty") is a left-leaning, indigenous party in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

The party was founded in 1997 by dissidents from the Movimiento al Socialismo (MAS) party , including Lino Villca , Óscar Chirinos, Miguel Machaca and Rufo Calle. The MPS is currently led by Lino Villca, who ranked fourth in the Bolivian regional elections of April 2010 in the department of La Paz after counting the votes.

Since the regional elections in 2010, the MPS has appointed the mayor in the following six districts: Municipio Achacachi , Municipio Mecapaca , Municipio Escoma , Municipio Sorata , Municipio Combaya , and Municipio Pucarani .
