Muhammad Alwani Al-Sharif

Muhammad Alwani Al-Sharif ( Arabic محمد علواني الشريف) is the head of the European Academy for Islamic Culture and Sciences (الأكاديمية الأوروبية للثقافة والعلوم الإسلامية ، بوركسل; in short: Dar Al Hikmah) in Brussels , Belgium .

He was one of the 38 signatories of the Open Letter from Islamic Scholars to Pope Benedict XVI.

He was one of the 138 signatories of the open letter a common word between us and you ( Engl. A Common Word Between Us and You ), the personalities of Islam to "leaders of Christian churches everywhere" (Engl. "Leaders of Christian Churches, everywhere ... ") (October 13, 2007).
