Muhteşem Yüzyıl: Kösem is a Turkish historical television series about the life of Kösem Mahpeyker , the wife of Ahmed I and mother of Murad IV . The series ran from November 12, 2015 to June 27, 2017 on Star TV and FOX Türkiye . Muhteşem Yüzyıl: Kösem is the sequel to the TV series Muhtesem Yüzyil from 2011 to 2014.

The series begins with Ahmed's accession to the throne and shows his reign, as well as that of his brother Mustafa and his sons Osman, Murad and Ibrahim. During the turbulent years of power change and power struggle, his wife Kösem Mahpeyker holds the strings of power in her hands.
