history

According to a document from 1893, the village had 336 inhabitants at that time. In 1905 the village had 416 and in 1925 a total of 578 inhabitants. Until March 7, 1946 the village was called Mukscha-Kytajhorodska and was then renamed by the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Ukrainian SSR in Жовтневе Schowtnewe , or Russian Жовтневое Schowtnewoje (from Жовтень / Schowten for "October"). On May 19, 2016, in the course of decommunization in Ukraine , the Verkhovna Rada gave the village its old name back, albeit without a hyphen.
