The Mule Peninsula ( Norwegian Breidnesmulen , literally translated Breitlandmaul , English Mule Peninsula ) is an irregularly shaped and rocky peninsula on the Ingrid Christensen coast of the East Antarctic Princess Elisabeth Land . It lies between the Ellis Fjord and the Krok Fjord in the southern section of the Vestfold Mountains .
Norwegian cartographers, who also did the descriptive naming, mapped them using aerial photographs taken during the Lars Christensen expedition in 1936/37 . The current designation is made by the Antarctic Names Committee of Australia (ANCA).
