The Central Tower Munich (formerly Munich City Tower ) is a high-rise in Munich . The 23-storey building has a height of 85 m, but a 30 m high antenna is attached to the roof, so that the total height is 115 m. In addition to the "Tower" high-rise, a 5-story low-rise building, the so-called "Plaza", is part of the building complex. The complex was developed and completed by Lend Lease Real Estate Investments GmbH between 1999 and 2002 .
The tower is located on the Mittlerer Ring , at the intersection of Donnersbergerbrücke and Landsberger Straße , in the Schwanthalerhöhe district . On the opposite side of the bridge, in the Neuhausen-Nymphenburg district , is the architecturally similar office tower of the Mercedes Center and the Arnulfpark .
End of 2009, the Munich City Tower by the owner Rock Point Group and was Freo in Central Tower renamed. At the beginning of 2014 the building was sold to Talanx Asset Management of the Talanx insurance group; the purchase price is a little over 80 million euros.
