The Muränen-Dornauge ( Pangio muraeniformis ) is a small, elongated, nocturnal freshwater fish of the family of wolffish .
features
The moray thorn eye becomes about eight centimeters long. Its body is yellow-brownish with irregular spots - in contrast to bands in related species. The moray thorn-eye feeds on bottom-living invertebrates and detritus .
The distinction between the sexes is possible in adult females using the second ray of the pectoral fins, among other things, which is significantly thicker than the third ray.
distribution
It is native to muddy, slow-flowing waters and ponds in the south of the Malay Peninsula, especially around Singapore.
