Murat Erdoğan (born August 1, 1976 in London ) is a former English - Turkish football player and official.
Player career
Murat Erdoğan started his career with Erzurumspor . Numerous stations followed in the lower class leagues. In the 1998/99 season he tested positive for methenolone and banned for six months for doping . He probably made his personal breakthrough at İstanbulspor . After his time with the Bulls , he was loaned to Gaziantepspor in the 2002/03 season. Erdoğan then played for a year at Galatasaray Istanbul , Malatyaspor , Ankaraspor and the newly promoted Sakaryaspor .
In the 2007/08 season he moved to MKE Ankaragücü and after a year and a half stay at Ankaragücü in the 2008/09 winter break to league rivals Sivasspor .
For the new season he moved again within the league to Kasımpaşa Istanbul . Here he quickly became a regular player and ensured with his commitment that the club, which had been in danger of relegation for a long time, was able to hold onto the league. Since Kasımpaşa wanted to form a completely new and young team for the new season, the contracts with some of the aging performers of the previous season were dissolved. Murat Erdoğan was one of them.
Then Erdoğan moved to the new season for the first division Manisaspor . Here he quickly became a top performer. At the end of the season, he expressed the idea of retiring. At the encouragement of the then coach Hikmet Karaman , he decided to fulfill his contract with Manisaspor, which was valid until 2012. Erdoğan started the new season very successfully and at the end of the season he became the second most successful shooter on his team with seven meetings.
Since his contract expired at the end of the season and Manisaspor missed relegation, Erdoğan moved to the new season for first division club Mersin İdman Yurdu . Here he dissolved his contract after mutual agreement with the club's management and then ended his career.
Functionary career
After the end of his career, he was appointed sports director for the first division club Sivasspor .
