The Musenbecke is a 2.6 km long orographically right tributary of the Glenne in the North Rhine-Westphalian Brilon , Germany . The brook flows completely in the district of Scharfenberg .

geography

The stream rises about 750 m west-southwest of the church of Scharfenberg . The source is on the west side of a saddle at an altitude of 449  m above sea level. NHN . From here the Musenbecke initially flows for about 500 m in a westerly direction. Then it turns its course to the north and follows about 500 m north and then about 400 m northwest. In this area, part of the water is channeled through three ponds. On the last stretch of the route, the Musenbecke follows western directions. After a river stretch of 2.6 km, the stream flows out at 395  m above sea level. NHN in the Glenne. The mouth is about 2.6 km west of Scharfenberg and 2 km northwest of Rixen . With a height difference of 54 m, the mean bed slope is 20.8 ‰.

The superficial catchment area has a size of 3.508 km² and is drained to the North Sea via Glenne, Möhne , Ruhr and Rhine .

The Musenbecke flows through nature reserves throughout the course . The source area is in the Brüche nature reserve , the middle and lower reaches in the Glenne valley system nature reserve .
