The museum for childhood and youth works by important artists in Halle (Westphalia) exhibits works by important artists who created them in their childhood and youth. It is privately owned and is the only museum of its kind in the world.

architecture

The museum rooms are located in a broken stone building on the historic church square in the so-called Haller Herz . The building dates back to 1246 and is considered the oldest building in the city.

Exhibitions

The artists shown in the permanent exhibition include August Macke , Franz Radziwill , Friedrich Karl Gotsch , the Hölzel Circle , Ernst Ludwig Kirchner , Pablo Picasso , Otto Dix , Hannah Höch , Paula Modersohn-Becker , Emil Nolde and Albrecht Dürer .

Special exhibitions are shown at irregular intervals. These often compare early works with adult works by the same artist or with normal children's works.
