Museum of American Bird Art

The Museum of American Bird Art (MABA) is an art museum owned by the Massachusetts Audubon Society . It is located south of Boston within the 121  acres (49  ha ) large reserve Mildred Morse Allen Wildlife Sanctuary in the city of Canton in the state of Massachusetts of the United States . It was founded in 1999.

The aim of the museum is to connect the population with nature through art. This is done through changing exhibitions by international artists, permanent exhibits and various educational programs that, in line with the orientation of the Audubon Society, deal almost exclusively with birds. The permanent exhibition includes works by John James Audubon , Larry Barth , Frank Weston Benson , Mark Catesby , Robert Verity Clem , A. Elmer Crowell , Louis Agassiz Fuertes , Charley Harper , Lars Jonsson , Allen James King , Andy Warhol and Alexander Wilson .
