Musical Compagney

The Musicalische Compagney is an ensemble for early music based in Berlin.

The ensemble was founded in 1972 by Holger Eichhorn, initially as a wind quartet for zinc and three trombones. Since 1974 it has performed under the name Musicalische Compagney . The line-up consists mainly of prongs , violins , trombones , dulcians , chitarrons and an organ . The main focus of the ensemble is vocal-instrumental music of the 17th century.

The ensemble's interpretations have been documented by Radio Bremen , RIAS , the Hessian and Bavarian Radio , among others .
