The Musikverein Stuttgart-Hofen 1905 e.V. , also known as Mvh or Mv Hofen, is one of the oldest and largest music clubs in Stuttgart . The Musikverein Stuttgart-Hofen has seven bands and over 400 members. The music association is also known for its youth work and its summer party. The musical performance is rated by the Baden-Württemberg brass band as an upper level.

The Union

The Musikverein Stuttgart-Hofen was founded in 1905. Since 1969 he has run his own youth music school and a youth band. There are seven different chapels for different age groups. Children can learn the recorder from around the age of six, and from around the age of ten they can learn other instruments ( clarinet , saxophone , flute , trumpet , tenor horn , baritone , trombone , tuba , horn , drums ). As soon as the children have mastered their instrument relatively well, they can play in the second youth band. After a few years of band experience you can play in the first youth band. From the age of 16 it is then possible to play in the main band, which has over 70 musicians. Musicians between 16 and 80 years of age play together in the main band. Since 2004 there has also been a "late harvest" for the parents of young musicians, which consists of musicians who have only recently learned their instrument. The association is largely financed by the summer festival, which takes place every year from Corpus Christi for four days on the Hofener Festwiese.
