Musiye
Musiye (born March 9, 1989 in Friedrichshafen ), also known under the pseudonyms Musiye Lago and Sean Gyle , is a German rapper , singer and producer of Eritrean descent. He is under contract with Farid Bang's label Helal Money Entertainment .
Life
Musiye grew up in Friedrichshafen on Lake Constance . He grew up without a father for most of his childhood. His mother raised him and his two older siblings alone. She had to take several jobs to support the family.
He began writing lyrics in his early teens and from then on followed his passion for music.
Career
The rapper Jaysus , who also came from Friedrichshafen, helped him to become known for the first time. He accepted him into his rap crew Southlända , which included rapper Shindy .
Musiye later signed his first record deal with Jaysus with the independent label Macht Rap and published his first videos and songs on Youtube.
In 2012, Musiye first achieved greater attention with the singles Theo and Voll , which the major label Warner Music also drew attention to him. However, the two songs were quickly blocked on Youtube as the rights of the instrumentals were not cleared.
In 2014 he released his first EP called Sean Gyle . The singles came in the form of a video trilogy ( Sean Gyle , Rockstar and Make up ) via 16Bars.de. There was a cinema premiere in Stuttgart for the release of the trilogy .
Farid Bang discovered him before that and enabled him to contribute a part on the Killa Remix in the same year . In the following year, Musiye appeared more often as a feature guest for rappers like Ali As and Rapsta and released several free tracks on SoundCloud .
In 2016 Musiye split from Macht Rap , the reasons for this are unknown. Then there were negotiations with several labels, including Warner Music, but these were unsuccessful due to different ideas. There were also rumors about a signing with the label Banger Musik , but these are not confirmed.
In 2017 he finally signed with the Helal Money Entertainment label and published the playlist on Spotify Musiye's Film in 2018 with the pre-single Mein Film .
Style direction
Musiye's style is characterized by an extraordinary feeling for melodies, coupled with a high demand for lyrics , rap technique and puns. His music, which is often cross-genre, makes it difficult for the listener to classify him stylistically. His influences range from contemporary R&B , soul and pop to electronic music .
