Mustafa Abu Sway
Mustafa Abu Sway ( Arabic مصطفى أبو صوي/ Muṣṭafā Abū-Ṣuwai; * 1958 in Amman , Jordan) is a Palestinian scholar of Islam and an Islamic personality who has been involved in interreligious dialogue for many years.
Life
He is the first holder of the Integral Chair for the Study of Imam Ghazali’s Work at al-Masjid al-Aqsa and al-Quds University in Jerusalem . Before that he was Associate Professor for Philosophy and Islamic Studies and Director of the Islamic Research Center at al-Quds University.
He studied at Bethlehem University and Boston College in the United States.
He taught at the International Islamic University in Malaysia and was a visiting Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence at Wilkes Honors College, Florida Atlantic University and Visiting Professor of Islamic Studies at Bard College , NY.
He is one of the Senior Fellows of the Royal Aal al-Bayt Institute for Islamic Thought (Royal Aal al-Bayt Institute for Islamic Thought), Jordan .
In 2012, Mustafa Abu Sway was one of the 500 most influential Muslims listed by the Prince al-Walid-bin-Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding at Georgetown University and the Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Center of Jordan.
