Mustafa Sarp (born November 5, 1980 in Bakırköy , Istanbul ) is a former Turkish football player and coach.

Player career

society

Sarp started his career at Gaziosmanpaşaspor in 1999 . There he played for three years. He moved to the second division Mersin İdman Yurdu . For Mersin he played 59 games as a regular in midfield and scored 5 goals. In the summer of 2004, the first division team Ankaraspor signed him . As before in Mersin, Sarp only stayed seasons in the capital. Kayseri Erciyesspor signed Mustafa on a free transfer. In the 2006/07 season Kayseri Erciyesspor rose to the 2nd division. Sarp's contract was not valid for the 2nd division, which is why he separated from the club. His new employer was Bursaspor . He played for Bursaspor for two years. For the 2009/10 season Sarp moved to Galatasaray Istanbul on a free transfer . On September 2, 2011, Sarp's contract with Galatasaray was terminated.

Sarp moved to the Süper Lig promoted Samsunspor in the summer of 2011 . Here he only played the first half of the season and moved to the second half of the season to league rivals Kardemir Karabükspor . In summer 2012 he changed again within the league, this time to his former club Mersin İdman Yurdu . Also at Mersin IY he only played half a season and then moved to Sanica Boru Elazığspor within the league . In the summer of 2013 he moved to the second division Istanbul Büyükşehir Belediyespor and celebrated promotion to the Süper Lig with his new club . In 2014 he moved to Manisaspor , he signed a one-year contract. At the end of 2014 he left this club.

National team

Sarp was nominated in March 2006 by national coach Fatih Terim for the first time for the Turkish national team , but was not used. In the same month he received a nomination for the second selection of the Turkish national team and made his debut here against the second selection of Scotland . In March 2008 he received from the national coach Fatih Terim a nomination for the Turkish national team , but was again not used.

Coaching career

Sarp started his coaching career in 2015 with a job as a youth coach at his former club Mersin İdman Yurdu . In January 2016 he left this club prematurely.
