Myriam Bru (born April 20, 1930 in Paris ) is a French actress .

Life

Myriam Bru is a French Jewish woman whose father was murdered by the National Socialists in Auschwitz-Birkenau . She received her first film role in 1952 in a biographical film about the life of Giacomo Puccini . She was subsequently seen in several Italian and French productions. In 1958 she took on the lead role in the German production Resurrection based on a story by Lev Tolstoy , directed by Rolf Hansen . Horst Buchholz played the main male role . After filming, the two were a couple and married in London that same year . In 1959 she shot her last film in Italy with Anna Magnani : Nella città l'inferno by Renato Castellani . Then she withdrew from the public.

She has two children with Horst Buchholz ( Christopher Buchholz and Beatrice Buchholz ). She remained married to the German actor until the end of his life, although they had been separated since he moved from Paris to Berlin . Myriam Bru runs an acting agency in Paris.
