Myrpold (also Myrepold) is a large dolmen ("Stordysse" - according to Danish terminology) or a three-meter-long grave box , which consists of ten bearing stones and two cap stones. The megalithic system of the funnel beaker culture (TBK) was created between 3500 and 2800 BC. BC and is located near Skarrev near Aabenraa near the Baltic Sea, on the Løjt peninsula in the south of Jutland in Denmark .

Neolithic monuments are an expression of the culture and ideology of Neolithic societies. Their origin and function are considered to be the hallmarks of social development.

The oldest grave boxes, which are a special form of the stone box , were found at Orebygård on Lolland , in Himmerland and the neighboring areas of Jutland , from where they are often recognized as late types.

Myrpold was excavated as early as 1888 and contained ten skeletons, which were stacked in five layers. They were accompanied by flint axes , stone knives, ceramics and amber beads .

A few kilometers to the northeast is the Tvekløft dolmen .
