The Nätschen is a field name above Andermatt in the Swiss canton of Uri , on the main road 19 to the Oberalp Pass . The name comes from the bristle grass that grows in the Alpine region and is derived from the Lombard nedesch as the name for the stiff bristle grass.

The Nätschen forms a small terrace at around 1850  m above sea level. M. In the southwest of the village of Andermatt, located in the north of the slope moves to the ridge of the ski Jens Tock high, the Grätli and Stöckli ( 2480  m above sea level. M. ) is called. The Oberalpreuss flows in the south .

The existing stop of the Matterhorn-Gotthard-Bahn for the development of the Andermatt-Nätschen ski area was replaced in summer 2017 by a new stop that is a little lower. The route also had to be adjusted for this.

Above the Nätschen are the former artillery works fortress Gütsch and Fort Stöckli , which were considered the highest in Europe, and the Gütsch wind farm . The four turbines in the wind farm deliver 4.5 GWh of electricity per year  .

On the list of protected areas in the canton of Uri , the two nature reserves "Oberer Nätschen" and "Unterer Nätschen" have been shown at Nätschen since 2010.
