Nīca (German: Niederbartau ) is a place on the west coast of Latvia , about 22 km south of Liepāja . Here is the center of the administrative district of the same name (Nīcas novads), which consists of the municipalities of Nīca and Otaņķi.
The place developed around Gut Niederbartau. On the coast there are sandy beaches where amber can be found, as well as a nature reserve .
