NEO (singer)
NEO (real name Linus Ingelsbo, born January 16, 1983 in Åsarp , Sweden) is a Swedish pop singer.
biography
NEO became known in his home country Sweden when he took part in the Melodifestivalen music competition , the Swedish preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 in Oslo , with the song Human Frontier . In Malmö , southern Sweden , he was able to win one of the two tickets for the "second chance round" in Örebro , in which he was eliminated by Kalle Moreaus. The song Human Frontier then climbed to number 16 in the Swedish charts.
NEO describes its music as contemporary pop with the melodies of the 1970s and the vibes of the 1980s and compares itself with great musicians such as the Scissor Sisters , Mika , a-ha and Alphabeat . The Swedish men's magazine QX selected NEO as Newcomer of the Year 2010. Before his breakthrough, Ingelsbo , who now lives in Stockholm, worked as a hotel entertainer on Gran Canaria .
