Debris field of the machine

the accident

While the machine was flying through clouds, it got caught in a tornado at 5:12 p.m. The machine was then exposed to loads between +6.8 g and −3.2 g. The right wing was bent upwards, followed by a strong downward pull. These loads were above the load limits for which the wings of the Fokker F28 were designed. A large piece of the wing broke off with a tremendous backward and upward movement. Then there was a loss of control. The upper side of the fuselage hit a railway bridge. All 17 people on board were killed.
