Na Liu (table tennis player)

Na Liu (* 7. February 1983 in the province of Liaoning ) is a British table tennis player of Chinese origin.

Life

Na Liu grew up in Liaoning Province. Her father was the director of a football academy, her mother was a former table tennis player. At the age of seven, Na Liu started playing table tennis herself. She was trained here by her mother. She quickly achieved sporting success. First at the provincial level, then at the national level.

Through her father, who accompanied a football team from his academy to a tournament in Northern Ireland , she got to know the country and decided to study there. In 2001, at the age of 18, Na Liu moved to Northern Ireland. In 2008 she received British citizenship. In 2010 she took part in the Commonwealth Games in Delhi for Northern Ireland . In 2012 she was part of the British delegation to the Summer Olympics in London .
