The Nabatea Governorate ( Arabic محافظة النبطية muhafazat an-Nabatiyya , DMG muḥāfaẓat an-Nabaṭīya ) is one of eight governorates in Lebanon . The administrative seat is in Nabataea .
geography
The Nabatea Governorate covers an area of 1,058 km². It borders the Lebanese governorates of South Lebanon (west) and Bekaa (north), Israel and the Golan Heights illegally annexed by Israel (in the south).
Ethnic division
Shiites: 68.69%; Christians 16.35%; Sunnis 11.21%; Druze 3.75%
