Nachiket and Jayoo Patwardhan

Nachiket Patwardhan (* 1948 ) and Jayoo Patwardhan (* May 18, 1949 in Indore ) are an Indian couple of architects , production designers and film directors .

Life

Both completed their architecture studies at the Maharaja Sayajirao University in Vadodara . You started out as a production and costume designer for the film Ghashiram Kotwal (1976) and created the set design for Girish Karnad's films Ondanondu Kaladalli (1978), Utsav (1984) and Cheluvi (1992).

With the support of marathic theater actors, in 1979 they directed the method acting film 22 June 1897 about an anti-colonialist attack in Pune . Her comedy Limited Manuski (1995) was co-produced by the National Film Development Corporation and Doordarshan . In addition to their film work, both worked as architects in Pune.

Her son Abir Patwardhan is a visual artist .
