Nadi

Nadi (pronunciation: [ na.ndi ]) is the fourth largest city in the Fiji Islands and is located on the main island of the archipelago, Viti Levu . The last census in 2017 counted 71,048 inhabitants. A large part of the population of Nadi is made up of immigrants from India .

Economy and Transport

The larger of the two international airports on the Fiji Islands is located near Nadi, which is why tourism plays an important role in the city. The Fiji Meteorological Service operates the Regional Specialized Meteorological Center in Nadi, which is responsible for the southern Pacific Ocean .

There are large sugar cane fields in the vicinity of Nadi .
