Nadia Bonfini (born January 28, 1965 in Tarvisio ) is a former Italian ski racer . Her specialty was the slalom .

biography

Bonfini celebrated her first successes at the Junior World Championships in 1983 in Sestriere , where she reached 5th place in slalom and placed 15th in giant slalom. In her relatively short World Cup career , she reached the podium for the first time on December 15, 1985 with third place in the Savognin slalom ; on February 9, 1986, she was able to surpass this result with second place in Vysoké Tatry . So she was in the 1985/86 season 13th in the slalom classification. In the following winter she achieved two top 10 places before she contested her last World Cup race on February 28, 1987. In 1986 she became the Italian slalom champion .

Bonfini was unsuccessful at major events: at the 1987 World Cup in Crans-Montana , she failed in the second slalom run. Even at the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary , she never reached the finish: In slalom, she was eliminated in the second run, in giant slalom, she was disqualified after the first run.
