Life

Nadia Doukali was born in Marrakech and moved to Frankfurt-Griesheim with her parents in 1976 . Although raised as a Muslim, at the request of her parents, she attended the kindergarten of the Catholic parish of St. Hedwig, where she got to know the German language and culture.

With her long-time friend Tyrown Vincent, Nadia Doukali moderated the Frankfurt Parade of Cultures from 2004 to 2009 and was involved, among other things, as a voluntary organizer of the Moroccan fair in Offenbach and the women's event "Hafla Anisa" for the Moroccan-German cultural dialogue.

In 2007, a child in her circle of friends diagnosed with lymph gland cancer personally confronted Doukali with the issue of cancer in children. In order to distract children and parents from everyday hospital life, she wrote Fayzal, the cancer catcher , which was published in autumn 2010 by Salam Children's and Young People's Book Verlag Freiburg. Due to the success of the book, Nadia Doukali produced the radio play of the same name with Sky du Mont , Nina Hagen , Rick Kavanian and Jumbo Schreiner .

Nadia Doukali published the children's book Muhammad, Prophet of Peace in April 2011 . In 2016 she produced an audio book on her own. In the sound design studios in Frankfurt, the radio play "Muhammad" was created together with producers and composers Matthias Raue and Alexander Laios. Speakers are u. a. Rita Ringhenau, Usama Elyas, Kida Khodr Ramadan and Idil Nuna Baydar.

She has been a board member and jury member of the Written Art Foundation since 2010. With Heinz Kroehl , Ralf J. Radlanski (Charité Berlin) and other members, she works to preserve the handwriting of schoolchildren.

In 2015 she was seen undercover with Christian Rach on the RTL show Rach . In 2016 she secured the trademark rights for the term Nafri .

Doukali developed a Ramadan calendar based on the Advent calendar , the 30-door Iftarlender, which was produced and sold under license by Brandt in 2017 . Inside are dates covered with chocolate.

In autumn 2017 “Kikos Lachen” was published, a gift to the Löwenmut hospice, for which Nadia Doukali acts as an ambassador. In the children's book, Doukali deals with the social interaction with children with disabilities. The main character of the story is a child with Down syndrome and Doukali illuminates in a child-friendly way how our society deals with otherness. “Kikos Lachen” is illustrated by Chloe Dolic.

Doukali has three sons.
