Ralf J. Radlanski

Ralf Johannes Radlanski (born October 9, 1958 in Paris ) is a German anatomist , orthodontist and university professor . Since 1992 he has been professor and director at the Institute for Clinical-Theoretical Dentistry, Oral and Maxillofacial Medicine at the Free University of Berlin , since 2004 renamed the Institute for Oral Structure and Developmental Biologist at the Charité , a member of the Free University of Berlin and the Humboldt University to Berlin .

Live and act

Ralf J. Radlanski studied medicine and dentistry at the Universities of Göttingen and Minneapolis (USA). First he was a scientific assistant in the anatomical institute of the University of Göttingen in the departments of morphology and embryology, and he was also trained as an orthodontist. In 1992 he accepted the call to professor at the Institute for Clinical-Theoretical Dentistry, Oral and Maxillofacial Medicine at the Free University of Berlin. At the center of his scientific work are the morphological-visual aspects of prenatal development of the face, as well as the microstructure of individual parts. In addition, they are shaped by the clinical issues of practical orthodontic work. His collection of human embryological slices is currently being digitized into the Craniofacial Morphogenesis Radlanski Collection . Radlanski was visiting professor at the University of California in San Francisco (USA), the University of Turku (Finland) and the University of Basel (Switzerland). Ralf J. Radlanski plays the cello and is a member of the Berlin Doctors Orchestra and the World Doctors Orchestra .

  • Chairman of the Basic Research Working Group in the German Society for Dentistry, Oral and Maxillofacial Medicine (2016 - 2019).
