Nadia Hatagan

Nadia Hatagan (born August 13, 1979 in Mediaș ) is a former Romanian artistic gymnast .

She did gymnastics at the CSȘ "Cetate" Deva and in 1992 was the European Junior Champion with the team. In 1993 she was the European Junior Champion on uneven bars.

In 1994 Hatagan took part in the European Championships for the first time and won the title with the Romanian squad. In the same year the World Championships took place in Dortmund . With the Romanian team with Simona Amânar , Gina Gogean , Ionela Loaieş , Daniela Mărănducă , Lavinia Miloșovici and Claudia Presăcan , Hatagan became world champion.

She achieved her second major success at the 1995 World Gymnastics Championships . In Sabae, Japan, Hatagan won their second world championship with the Romanian gymnastics team with Simona Amânar, Andreea Cacovean , Gina Gogean, Alexandra Marinescu , Lavinia Miloșovici and Claudia Presăcan, ahead of China and the USA. She then had to resign due to injury.

In 2000 Hatagan was awarded the third class Pentru Merit medal.
