Claudia Presăcan started gymnastics at the age of 4½ years. In 1993 she moved to the central training center in Bucharest , started participating in international competitions in the same year and started in the senior sector between 1994 and 2000. At the European Junior Championships in 1994, she won her first gold medal in floor exercise . The Romanian had her international breakthrough at the 1994 World Cup in Dortmund , where she won the gold medal in the relay. Presăcan achieved the same result a year later in Sabae and 1997 in Lausanne . She missed the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta because of a broken hand. In 1998 she won again the gold medal with the relay at the European Championships in St. Petersburg and her only individual medals, bronze in the all-around and on parallel bars. In 1999 she fell out again for the World Cup due to an injury. The last major event Presăcan attended was the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney . Here she won the gold medal with the Romanian relay. After the competitions it became known that the Romanian team doctor Presăcan had started despite a very low hemoglobin level of 6.3. After the games she resigned as an artistic gymnast and was briefly active as a helmswoman in rowing . in this sport her greatest success was participation in the 2001 Universiade .
Claudia Presăcan attracted international attention in 2002 when she posed naked with her former teammates Corina Ungureanu and Lavinia Miloșovici for a Japanese magazine. Shortly afterwards, DVDs were also produced where the three athletes were shown doing gymnastics with a bare upper body , as well as other series of images for the Japanese magazine "Shukan Gendai". Since the three appeared several times in Romania's official national jerseys, all three were banned from the Romanian association as trainers and judges until 2007. The Japanese Junior Gymnastics Federation then refused to admit Romanian female gymnasts for an international competition in Japan. Today Presăcan lives as a trainer on the Isle of Man .
