Nadiad ( Gujarati : નડિયાદ) is a city in the Indian state of Gujarat .

The city is located in the Kheda district between the two megacities Ahmedabad (45 km northwest) and Vadodara (55 km southeast). The NE 1 expressway (Ahmedabad – Vadodara) passes Nadiad. The city is also on the railway line that connects these two cities. The Gulf of Khambhat is located 50 km south of the city of Nadiad.

Nadiad was founded in 1867. The city has the status of a municipality ( Nagar Palika ). It is divided into 14 wards and extends over an area of ​​28.39 km². At the 2011 census, Nadiad had around 218,000 inhabitants.
