Nadine Julitz (born July 4, 1990 in Waren (Müritz) ) is a German political scientist and politician ( SPD ).

Life

After graduating from the Richard-Wossidlo-Gymnasium in Waren in 2009 , Julitz began studying political science and public law at the University of Rostock , which she completed in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts . This was followed by a job as a clerk in the immigration office of the Mecklenburg Lake District . At the same time, she worked as a research assistant for the Bundestag member Jeannine Pflugradt .

Julitz joined the SPD in 2011. From 2011 to 2014 she was a board member and from 2014 to 2016 deputy chairwoman of the local SPD association in Waren. In 2016 she was elected chairwoman of the local association. Since 2015 she has also been a board member of the SPD district association Mecklenburgische Seenplatte.

In the municipal elections in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in 2014 , Julitz was elected to the city council of Waren. She has been chairwoman of the cultural, social and education committee since 2015 and first deputy mayor of the city of Waren (Müritz) since June 2016. In the state elections in September 2016 , she was elected to the state parliament of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania as a direct candidate for the SPD via constituency 20 (Mecklenburg Lake District III) . She won the direct mandate with 30.2% of the first votes .

At the meeting of the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania state parliament on May 14, 2020, Julitz accused the AfD member Jens-Holger Schneider that when she went to the lectern, he heard the interjection, which was not recorded in the minutes, that her dress was very tight be. Schneider and Thomas de Jesus Fernandes (AfD) acknowledged this with "Yes, it is." and yes!". Schneider's interjection was later defended by stating that this was just a compliment, which sparked a debate in Schwerin about when a compliment was no longer a compliment, but sexism.

In addition to her professional and political activities, Julitz is a member of the Arbeiterwohlfahrt and the Müritz helps initiative .
