The film is set in Berlin in 1965. The old woman greets the inspector on her doorstep with the words “I've been waiting for you for thirty years”. She is the one who tended the grave for years, in which this skull was found by chance - the skull with a rusted nail in it. In a long monologue, the woman confesses her tragic life story for the first time.

Reviews

“In the Kammerspiel, Philipp Döring concentrates entirely on the woman, whose confession is staged in real time and with only a few counter cuts on the police officer listening. Changes such as slowly moving the camera towards the protagonist and the change of light into the dark are used so subtly that they are barely noticeable. (...) A long monologue (...) is presented plausibly and with shocking intensity. "

- Jury statement from the film evaluation office

“At first glance a seemingly simple film, but which only earns its relevance through the right decisions that it makes: the choice of the material, the staging of the actors, the consistency of the design, which touches the limits of the medium and thus beyond the Narration reflected in the film.
