Philipp Döring

Philipp Döring (born November 28, 1977 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) is a German film director . He lives and works in Berlin.

Life

In addition to studying German at the University of Freiburg , Philipp Döring worked for the student aka-Filmclub eV and was awarded the audience prize at the short film competition in Passau for his short film Torero . From 2004 Philipp Döring studied directing / scenic film at the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy in Ludwigsburg . In 2009, he won the First Steps Award with his diploma film At the Other End , in the lead role Ursula Werner can be seen. In 2011 he founded his production company Blue Elephant . In 2012 he received the "cast & cut" grant from the Hannover Cultural Region Foundation . In 2012 Ursula Werner played the leading role in Döring's award-winning short film Nagel zum Sarg .
