The Nakai snow field is a 1600 m high snow field in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Olympus Range , it occupies the saddle between Mount Hercules and Mount Jason .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 2004 after the Japanese geophysicist Nobuyuki Nakai from Nagoya University , who was involved in the drilling project in the Antarctic dry valleys from 1973 to 1976 .
