Nancy Peña (comic book writer)

Nancy Peña (born August 13, 1979 in Toulouse ) is a French comic book writer and illustrator .

Life

Nancy Peña is the daughter of an antique dealer and a teacher. As a child, Peña was particularly interested in nineteenth-century French literature and was influenced by the writers Henry James and Jules Verne . She studied applied arts and became an art teacher.

As a motif designer, she has a penchant for iconography , the Vienna Secession , ancient and medieval motifs and Japanese engravings . Peña designs motifs for clothes, furniture and tea boxes; she works with several collectives in Besançon , where she settled in 2003.
