Naomi Geraghty

Naomi S. Geraghty (born May 1969 in Dublin ) is an Irish - American film editor .

life and work

After studying communication science , Naomi Geraghty tried to assert herself as a film editor in the Irish film industry. But since she had not attended a film school, she was denied access. It wasn't until she got a green card and emigrated to the USA in New York City in 1993 that she was able to make contacts and work for well-known editors. In the US editor Craig McKay she found a good mentor, whom she assisted for almost five years and was involved in the film editing of productions such as For the Life of a Friend and Cop Land . With A Map of the World , she was the first time his co-editor of and was allowed with In America run their first autonomous Editor. She previously edited nine episodes of the television series The District - Operation in Washington .

Naomi Geraghty is married to editor Joe Landauer , whom she met while filming Mothers & Sons .
