Naoya Kondō ( Japanese 近藤 直 也 , Kondō Naoya ; born October 3, 1983 in Utsunomiya ) is a Japanese football player .
Career
society
Naoya Kondo learned to play soccer in the youth teams of Takezononishi FC and Kashiwa Reysol and in the school team of Takezono Higashi Junior High School . He signed his first professional contract with Kashiwa Reysol in 2002. The club from Kashiwa , a city in Chiba Prefecture on Honshū , the main island of Japan, played in the country's highest league, the J1 League . In 2005 he had to start the path to the second class with the club. A year later they rose as runner-up in the J2 League directly back to the first division. In 2008 they reached the final of the Kaiser Cup , which they lost in the final, however, 0-1 against Gamba Osaka . After three years in the first division, the club had to relegate back to the second division in 2009. The following year they became second division champions and rose again directly to the first division. In 2011 he surprisingly celebrated the Japanese championship with the club as a newcomer. In 2012 they were again against Gamba Osaka in the final of the Imperial Cup. This time they won 1-0. A year later they reached the final of the J. League Cup . In the final, they defeated the Urawa Red Diamonds 1-0. After a total of 246 games, he left the club at the end of 2015 and joined the second division team JEF United Ichihara Chiba from Ichihara . For the club he completed 110 second division games. In 2019 he moved to league rivals Tokyo Verdy .
National team
Naoya Kondō played once for the Japanese national team in 2012 . He played his only international match on February 24, 2012 in a friendly against Iceland at Nagai Stadium in Osaka .
