Narok is the capital of the eponymous county in Kenya with almost 25,000 inhabitants. Narok lies on the East African Rift Valley .
Infrastructure
Narok has a bus station, several banks, schools and a hospital. Narok University College in Narok was formerly part of Moi University in Eldoret . Since 2013 it has been independent under the name Maasai Mara University .
Culture
The Maa Museum offers exhibits on the Maasai culture and their Maa language in the exhibition housed in the former town hall . The Maa Museum is part of the National Museums of Kenya .
