Nas ( Greek Νάς ( n. Sg. )), Officially Kato Raches (Κάτω Ράχες ( m. Pl. )) Is a coastal town in the north of the Greek island of Ikaría just a few kilometers southwest of Armenistís in the municipality of Raches . At the end of an asphalt road, the place is a few meters above a bay with a sandy beach. In the area of the beach, the Chalaris brook , which comes from the area of Christos Raches and whose course is lined by lush, subtropical vegetation, flows into the Aegean Sea . Because of the Meltemi and the resulting current makes this beach one of the most dangerous in the country.

A few meters from the pebble beach is an Artemis sanctuary. This sanctuary was built in the 6th century BC and was then of great economic importance for the island. After that, the area was rather avoided. The temple was destroyed about 150 years ago by residents of what is now the administrative seat of the Christos Raches parish and the stones were used to build their church. The first official excavations took place in 1938 by Leon Politis .
