Nasir Juda
Nasir Dschuda , also Nasser Dschudeh or Nasser Judeh ( Arabic ناصر جودة, DMG Nāṣir Ǧūda ; * 1961 ), is a Jordanian politician .
biography
After school education at College de La Salle in Amman from 1966 to 1975 and then at Eastbourne College in Sussex from 1979, Juda studied international politics, law and organization at the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University , which he obtained in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science ( B.Sc.) in Foreign Service.
After returning to Jordan, he served at the royal court in public relations and then as the private secretary of Hassan ibn Talal . In 1994 he became Director General of Jordan State Television and in 1998 Director General of Jordan Radio and Television Corporation (JRTC). He was then Minister of Information and Government Spokesman before he became media advisor to the airline Royal Jordanian in 2003 . During a subsequent position as CEO of Information and Communication Expertise (ICE), a company specializing in small and medium-sized enterprises , he was also a board member of a number of companies.
On November 25, 2007, he was appointed Minister of State for Media and Communications in the government of Prime Minister Nadir adh-Dhahabi . He was already acting as foreign minister at that time.
As part of a government reshuffle, Prime Minister adh-Dhahabi appointed him Foreign Minister on February 22, 2009. In his role as Foreign Minister, he gave a speech to the 64th General Assembly of the United Nations in September 2009 .
family
He is the son of the former Minister of State Sami Juda. One uncle is the former Prime Minister Said Rifai , whose son is the current Prime Minister Samir Rifai . Nasir Juda is married to Princess Sumaya, a cousin of King Abdullah II and the daughter of Hassan ibn Talal, and they have four children. Princess Sumaya is not only Chair of the Board of Trustees of Princess Sumaya University for Technology, she is also President of the Jordanian Handball Federation.
